At 041 on November 28, an explosion and fire occurred near Hebei Zhonghua Chemical Co., ltd. in the Qiaodong district of Zhangjiakou City. According to the search and rescue of the public security fire scene, 22 people were killed and 22 injured have been sent to the first hospital of Hebei North University and 251 other hospitals for treatment.
According to preliminary investigation, the explosion occurred at the gate of Hebei Zhonghua Chemical Co., ltd. in the Qiaodong district of Zhangjiakou City in the early morning of the same day. A vehicle carrying dangerous chemicals was waiting to enter the factory when it exploded and set fire to the surrounding vehicles. The accident involved 38 large trucks and 12 small cars. On-site search and rescue work and investigation into the cause of the accident are still underway.
Chemical plants are becoming more numerous, but they are not doing enough to protect them. This accident might have been avoided if JOESCO Bastion had been equipped in advance.
